I will be visiting go a in a week’s time and wanted to know if the restaurants you mentioned are open during season.

Yes all the Mexican places suck, but actually I don't like the burritos from the sat market- I'm a bit of a Mexican food snob growing up in the US we have such good options, I just found even with spicy sauce there wasn't enough flavor! It even the chicken I found to be too sweet.

yes agreed its impossible to find mexican in goa . mezcal vagator closed , poco loco in baga is really average at best , cafe fiesta in palolem was dirty and worst mexican ive had anywhere , and about the only thing that will make up for all that poor show in goa is the burrito boys in arpora ingos saturday night bazaar on saturday nights in season who do an excellent tex mex veggie , orange beef , or chicken burrito which are all excellent and huge .

In reply to Rick. It surprises so many people how much is available here! I do want to open some kind of cafe :) We wanted to do gourmet sandwiches originally, like what you'd get at Panera, but so many cafes have already amazing ones that'd we'd rather eat so we gave up on that. There is NO mexican in Goa though- but most ingredients are hard to find and only Americans have a taste for it really, Brits aren't usually super familiar with it.

That is spectacular – I would have never thought your sleepy little ‘hippie town’ would have such incredible offerings.

The big question is – what will you serve in YOUR cafe?

I am now much more motivated to check out Goa, the culinary hotspot on the Arabian Sea (I think).
