Hi Rachel,

I enjoyed reading your blog and would like to ask for your suggestion. If we would like to pamper ourselves for a night stay in a luxury property, do you recommend ma’in hot spring resort or kempinski dead sea? I’ve previously stayed in both six senses resort and oberoi resort but not a kempinski resort and prefer six senses to oberoi..

The Old Village Resort is also an excellent luxury option AND socially responsible as profits from the hotel go to support over 100 families from Wadi Musa. The hotel is built as a restoration/renovation of the original stone structures the families lived in before the town was built up in the 1970s so it has a certain uniqueness and authenticity that you can’t get from a chain hotel.

I must say that Jordan is really a best place to visit.

A big thanks for including A Luxury Travel Blog. You have a lovely varied selection here that cave hotel looks like a lot of fun.

From my point of view I must say that you may want to choose a hotel that offers proximity to local attractions, nightlife, outdoor recreation, and more.

It may be a benefit to many travelers to have an on-site tour desk or tour pick-up available as well.

I still remember the Movenpick in Petra – didn’t stay there, but went for a drink one night. Beautiful place!
