We’ve been coming down to Chuburna Pto. for 10 years now, and have not found some of these places yet, so muchas gracias. If you haven’t, check out the back patio at the Hotel Piedra de Agua in centro near the cathedral. Nice vibe, good cocktails, tasty pizza and other food. Usually has live music as well. Things don’t get started there till late.

Also, Dadaumpas is our favorite – smells just like my Italian grandma’s kitchen.

Hi Renee – thanks for the snarky comment! Yes, I am serious! Expats living in Merida year-round do like to eat American food sometimes as well pan-Asian and PF Changs has one of the best coconut curries in Merida. Maybe you caught me at a bad moment (usually I would ignore annoying comments like yours) but you need some deep reflection that you would read 50+ restaurants and cafes on this list 95% that are local and care to comment on the two American chains I mention… that shows what kind of person you are :/ Hope you start to be a more positive happy person in the future!
