Jen, I took this to Bali and like in other areas of SE Asia, you send you laundry off for a few dollars and they wash it and give it back usually the next day, dry and folded. If you are going to wash in your room in the sink or something, I still think it will dry the same. I hang it out here in Goa to dry overnight and it dries – and goa is 100% humidity. It is a thick cotton so it would not dry in just a few hours I don’t think, however I’ve never tried

I am not sure if my initial comment posted so I will try again. I will be travelling in SE Asia for 6 weeks starting in the summer and this dress looks perfect, but I am concerned about dry time. Is it like cotton and it will never line dry in a humid environment? Have you used it similar places with good (or bad) results? Before I buy it, I want to make sure I wont be ditching it there and buying new clothes!

In reply to Amy. Hey Amy. I'm also 5'4" and got the regular but actually I didn't even see the petite and might get that next time because it might be shorter which would be nice for a different look.
