How cool is this! You popped up on my Insta! Love this article, my daughter is a huge Harry Potter fan & this has inspired me to take her to London. We live in Florida & have passes to Universal spending lots of time in Hogwarts & Diagin Alley. Definitely worth the $$ to stay on property & get the Fast Pass. Plus you get in an hour early & beat the crowds.
What are the best months to travel to England? .

Hey Laura! If you have the budget, look into Finland or Norway – check out the lights in Lapland! You can dogsled, ride snow mobiles, see reindeer… really amazing stuff! I have lots of posts on Finland although sadly I didn’t see the Northen Lights while there (it was cloudy).

Hi Rachel,
I love your adventuresome spirit – I’m a *bit older than you but am working in international trips and travels in-between raising my two kids and trying to stay married! I am traveling to London for a week(wish) with my 16 year old daughter this summer and we have a week in Europe that is currently not scheduled… what are your recommendations? We are adventuresome, fun loving and ready to see something different than England. Thank you in advance and good luck with your blog and future travels!

Well done Rachel!

You really did an awful lot in a day and really good stuff! And Harry Potter? I’m a huge fan but I never seem to remember about Warner Bros until I’ve actually left the UK and returned to Germany. Aaargh!

Thankfully, I’ll be back in the UK in a couple of weeks, but aiming for the countryside in Northern England – since that is where I’m from. Sometimes, it’s really nice to “go home!”

p.s. I didn’t know that Ben was from Kent – the Garden of England!

We toured the Harry Potter Studios last spring in London and it was one of the top highlights of our trip! It was so much fun to see all the scenery, costumes, and just feel like you were a part of the wizarding world!!

Well done on cramming all that stuff in, Rachel! I liked reading about your experience at WB Studios, even though I’m a bit of an anomaly and haven’t read any of the Harry Potter books or watched all the movies. But your enthusiasm has inspired me to check them out! Hope all is well back in India. :)
