Hi Rachel,
I saw you last night on an episode of House Hunters (my favorite show…no kidding!), and was super excited to see that they actually went to India! (India is my favorite country, as I became mesmerized by it at 17, and my husband finally fulfilled my lifelong dream to travel there last year! (Our journey leaned more toward staying at Ramana Maharshi’s ashram in Tiru). When you mentioned your candles (which are beautiful, by the way) and travel blog, I felt like I had to find you! I really love what you’re doing…you are fearless! I’ve always believed in a life with no regrets, and that’s you! (And by the way, my husband proposed to me and I picked up and moved in with him after ONE date…here we are, 22 years later and still happy in love!) Am enjoying your blog and re-living India all over again!

Hahaha. Those are so cute and clever! Catchier than a speed limit sign, too!

We don’t have as many creative ones here but one that always struck me was a little cafe on the side of the highway has a sign that says, “Please don’t die. We want to see you again.” and is followed with “Drive safe!” a few meters later. SO awkward.

I remember seeing some of these! So funny! They like their puns.

I mentioned it on instagram, but while your on Maui make sure you get lunch at Market Fresh Bistro in Makawao. Great homemade iced tea and coffee, amazing sandwiches and eggs benedict with local fish, and bright cheery atmosphere. It’s all local ingredients and really really good.

Also, there’s a pie shop south of Lahaina on the main highway called Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop. Oh my god, so good.

For things to do, you’ll love the road to Hana. It’s a gorgeous drive and lots of cool things to stop at. I love snorkeling on Maui and if you rent a mask and flippers you can plop in just about anywhere. Kaanapali Beach has surprisingly good snorkeling and super easy access. Kihei has some great spots too. Ahh have fun! I’m going back in December and can’t wait!
