I’m traveling with my sister to Mumbai then Goa in Feb for a wedding. We have about 2 free days in Mumbai and 1 1/2 in Goa. Can you recommend a specific place to take a cooking class? Also any local coffee roasters you recommend visiting? thanks!

Great tips! I agree. Also, one of my favorite places to buy salwar is Cotton Cottage. They have stores in Mumbai, Pune, and I think they have one in Goa. The fabrics they use are not so traditional.
Furthermore, if you are nervous to come to India, don’t be! It’s a great place. Like Rachel said, it will change your life. It has changed mine every time I have been here ( currently I am in Khajuraho). I leave Monday and can’t wait to come back next year! I am traveling alone and I have never had a problem. :)

Hi Delaine, awesome that you know trav and bre! I do have lots about Goa :) You can use the search bar to get the articles that are about it or just email me rachel@hippie-inheels.com and I can explain more. Between cities, the best way is train , except delhi is quite far you may need to fly.

Hi Rachel! I am actually traveling to India in March. I am going from Delhi to Pune, Pune to Mumbai, Mumbai to Goa. I feel like I have a pretty good handle on the first three cities but I know nothing about Goa. Do you have any articles about the state? And do you have any tips about how is the most effective way to travel between these cities? By the way, Bre and Travis are friends of mine and recommended I reach out to you, I might have actually met you at their wedding!

When we landed in India (2 girls) our taxi driver was holding a sign for “Mr” Williams – haha! Think he had a bit of a shock. But well worth pre-planning.

I like the idea of taking a class if (no.. when) I return!

Thanks for tips, I’ll show this article to my wife later on! But may I add some more tips to this? I think for every traveller there are 3 main things: food; water; and navigation, because you always need to know where you are going so I suggest to use some sites like well-way.com where you can create your own map for journey!
