Welcome back to This is India! I always have funny/weird stories about India to share with friends or family when I talk to them. This is just meant to be an honest portrayal about my life in India through short anecdotes. I also share here what I’ve been up to online outside Hippie in Heels.

What I was up to other than here:

  • I should be in Goa jet-lagged giving my cat and dog some attention buuuuuuuut Ben and I extended our trip through this last week and are going home day after tomorrow. I haven’t been doing much work (who could in Hawaii?) so when I get back I have SO much to do and so much to write about from Oahu and Maui!
  • I am going to hit up Target and buy the food to fill the remaining 10 pounds of space I have left in my bag. What should I get!? Coffee creamer for sure. Ben has seriously made a questionable decision by bringing 5 pounds of SAND back from Hawaii that he needs to test or something.. I mean that could have been like 10 cans of soup or multiple boxes of PopTarts. Devastating.

Now your story,

One of my FAVORITE things to do in Kochi is go ICE SKATING! Yes, there is an indoor rink in Lulu’s mall and it’s amazing. Well, amazing is a big word. Umm… actually, there are lots of scratches and it’s melting in some spots so it’s not a smooth ride, but it’s still fun.

When Ben, Azad, and I went skating on a Sunday afternoon we were the entertainment for like 50 people watching from the edges. We laughed so much. Ben and I didn’t last long… we sucked pretty bad and called it quits after about 10 minutes. Azad, a friend of Ben’s from years ago in Kerala was the funniest to watch. He’d never seen an ice-skating rink and was surprisingly good. I had a bunch of photos from this that I wanted to make into gifs, but alas, I can’t find them. Here are the few from my iPhone I found.
