This wasn’t my first time staying at a Shunya Goa property- last year when Ben’s brother, Josh, came to visit we stayed a Noi Varo in Siolim, you can read that review here. It is an restored Portuguese mansion. Ever since, I wanted to check out their second property Kaju Varo which is in Ashwem, and their newest, Yoga Varo in Parcem.

Kaju Varo, Ashwem
This is a more eco-stay than Noi Varo and instead of getting a whole villa, there are 6 “rooms” (they are quite large, many with enough room to sleep 4). Most have lofts and some are secluded from the rest so you have privacy. One is even a treehouse!
I went for the Eco-bungalow. It had it’s own pool so was an obvious choice for me! I love the outdoor rain showers, the cool floors, and lounge area. Food was very similar to Noi Varo. They serve seafood unless you request a different type of meat. Between lunch and dinner, I had rock fish, calamari, rava prawns, and prawn curry. Delicious! Ben had to rock out early to go to Ratnagiri so I stayed on my own and it was as peaceful as you can expect. In the morning I didn’t want to leave, but at least I knew I had a stay at Yoga Varo in the future!
Here are some more photos from the property including other villas and the pool.
