Namrata Puri, fashionista, the girl behind Doe Design, and my all time favorite person to go to dinner with is ready to spill on the best spots to eat in Delhi. Unlike most girls, Nami orders a starter (or two), a main course, a few drinks, and a dessert. A girl after my own heart. When we leave lunch, we’re in the car talking about where we should go for dinner. I’m going to pass it over to Nami, the first person’s advice I would trust for where to eat in Delhi.

Top 10 Best Restaurants in Delhi

1. China club // Gurgaon

I love the food here! It’s Chinese without the Indian twist. The service is amazing and the hosts always have great recommendations. I’m super bias to Asian cuisine so you may see multiple Asian restaurants but each one is different is very worth mentioning.

Must try dishes at China Club:

  • Double cooked pork /lamb
  • Ye Shan chilly lamb (it’s a special little chilly called ye Shan and has a sour spicy taste ). It’s delicious!
  • The egg fried rice is the best in the city
  • Tenderloin hot pot is spicy wholesome goodness: Diced pieces of tenderloin are drenched in this sticky spice sauce full of Szechwan peppercorn bamboo shoots and a variety of ingredients. You can get the same in lamb as well.

The only thing missing at this restaurant is dessert. Barring the chocolate cake that you get if it’s a special occasion like a birthday or an anniversary, the desserts aren’t up to the mark. But the food is amazing and the service is impeccable.

INFO: Lobby Level, Tower C, Global Business Park, MG Road, Gurgaon. Hours 12 Noon to 3 PM, 7 PM to 11 PM.

2. Yuatcha // Vasante Kunj

Recently opened in Delhi, it’s a restaurant around the world and has a Michelin start in London. I expected it to be super fancy and very expensive but to my surprise it’s pretty chilled. The restaurant resembles a fancy canteen; pretty basic but chic in it’s own way. The menu is endless. They’re known for their dimsums and they do that reputation full justice. I almost never end up ordering mains because we’ve almost always eaten way too many dimsums. This place is by far the best in terms of exquisite dessert!

  • prawn cheng fun- it’s hard to explain, it has a layer of crispy fried prawn inside a really soft roll and is drowned in soya chilly sauce on presentation .. Mmmm I have to go eat that soon!

3. Nanking-  Canton Spice // Gurgaon

This restaurant is like home to me and it’s arguably one of the best Chinese restaurants in Delhi for donkey’s years! I think it opened it’s first branch way back in the 90’s in Bombay before coming to Delhi. People complain that it hasn’t had a fancy facelift to compete with all the up and coming restaurants in Delhi but they have a super loyal customer base. The food is Mongolian inspired Chinese so it’s not really spicy but it’s really interesting and the menu is one of a kind. The restaurant has two locations; one in Central Delhi and one in DLF.

This is my go to meal after a really big night out! My friends and I love it and it’s one of the few places you actually get beef in Delhi, not buffalo! Winning! The bacon is of top notch quality. At 4 in the morning most things would taste amazing, but this sends us into an orbit of deliciousness! Yes we’ve sat there and ordered a portion of bacon for the table as a starter…
