Are you taking your next beach getaway to one of Mexico’s beautiful seaside destinations? You’re in for a treat! You may have heard of Cancun but there are many more beaches to explore and these have recently become ultra-chic hotspots. From Tulum on the East to Sayulita on the West, here are some chic beach style ideas to match the boho vibes of these Mexico coastal towns. Here’s what to pack for Tulum and other hotsposts in Mexico so you can look trendy but feel comfortable.
What to Pack for Tulum & More in Mexico!
Swimwear is where a beach lover gets her opportunity to make a serious fashion statement. If your goal is to pack light, a good guideline is to bring one or two bikinis and a fun one-piece.
Tip: a one piece can double up as a top and a bikini top can double up as a bra!
An Airy Dress
Dresses that breath are a must as the heat and humidity climb especially during the summer months of July-August. Choose a selection of summer dresses such as a short piece with long flowly sleeves or a dreamy maxi with spaghetti straps.
Your skin isn’t the only thing you should be protected from the sun; your eyes are just as important. A good pair of sunglasses are not only easy to pack, but can protect your eyes while also adding a fun addition to your outfit. There are lots of different ones to choose from but we love the classic aviator style. (in gold/ blue gradient)
A Tote For Day And Night
Great for the beach, a lunch out or a shopping trip in town, a stylish straw tote is a must for summer vacation. As a plus they’re perfectly neutral so they can easily mix and match with all your outfits.
If you have warmer skin tones, then gold jewelry will stand out nicely against your tanned skin and will add a little extra ‘wow’ to your already awesome outfit. If you’re one with cooler skin tones, then silver jewelry (bonus points if it has turquoise) is the way to go.
A Nighttime Clutch
If you don’t want to walk around with your tote all the time especially when going out at night, bring a fun clutch as well. Tip: maximize suitcase space by using it to store items like makeup while you’re traveling then bring it out on your trip to add style to your favorite outfits!
A Fun Beach Towel
Beach towels are a must especially if you’re not planning to stay at a resort. Have fun with it and take one like this round fringe-trim beach towel. Not only is it stylish but it can even double up as home decor as well.
Eye Catching Sandals
Sandals are a staple on Mexico’s shoreline but skip the boring shower shoes and opt for some Sol Sana sandals instead. These add a little more excitement to your outfit all while offering comfort for days of exploration.
Flashy, Yet Comfortable Rompers
Rompers are the perfect option summer adventures. They’re easy to wear, ultra-cute, and make it so easy to plan your outfits. Choose a colorful romper and pair it with your tote and sandals and you’re all set for a day on the town.
Cut Off Shorts & A Crop Top
Cut off shorts are perfect for the heat and can be worn with pretty much anything. Pair them with your one piece swimsuit or a nicely fitted crop top. You can also go for one that’s more on the flowly side as well.
